Built by a textile designer, for textile designers

Textile Design started at a design desk, not a whiteboard. Our founder is a professional fashion and textile designer who spends her days building seamless repeats in Photoshop, preparing colourways for clients and sending files to mills and digital printers. Many of the same small jobs came up every week: checking a repeat for seams, working out the DPI for a new print size, building a half drop, matching a repeat to a fabric width.

Those jobs deserved fast, focused tools — so we built them. Every tool on this site runs entirely in your web browser. Your artwork is never uploaded to our server, which matters when you are working on an unreleased collection or a client’s confidential brief.

What we don’t do

We don’t use AI image generation for our patterns, we don’t copy other designers’ work, and we don’t sell your data. If a guide or tool is wrong or unclear, tell us and we will fix it.
